  Light Shaping Focus Session III
  
  Abstract:
  This Special Session, third in its series, will provide an overview of various methods of spatial light shaping, covering refractive freeform surfaces, diffractive beam splitters, diffusers, and multichannel array-type components including lens arrays. Light shaping techniques are classified and the strengths and weaknesses of the different methods are discussed with respect to different applications and light sources. The usage and limitations of ray and physical optics for the modeling and design of light shaping systems is considered. Fabrication techniques for light shaping components will be addressed.
