Meet us at booth #209, Hall B1.
During the LASER exhibition we will present the summer release 2019 of VirtualLab Fusion. It provides new and improved solutions for applications at the forefront of technological innovation.
Augmented & Virtual Reality
The VirtualLab AR & VR Solution Package is the only commercially available single-platform software that provides physical-optics modeling of AR & VR lightguides: this includes all relevant effects like diffraction, polarization, interference and coherence.
Gratings
In addition to the rigorous analysis and design of standalone grating components (e.g. slanted gratings and volume holographic ones), the summer release makes it possible to include them in general optical systems, and perform an overall physical-optics simulation of the whole.
Diffractive lenses
The summer release version enables new workflows for diffractive lenses: the initial design can be imported from Zemax® OpticStudio® (e.g. in the form of a binary 2 surface), then converted to an actual diffractive lens structure and analyzed in VirtualLab Fusion.
Metalenses
In comparison to diffractive lenses, metalenses employ sub-wavelength nano-structures for the phase manipulation. A first taste of the techniques for metalens modeling will be included in the summer release as well.
Diffractive Optical Elements (DOE) and Diffusers
The application of DOEs and diffusers in modern optics has gone far beyond the paraxial domain, and to model them for non-paraxial configurations is a challenge. In the summer release, we tackle this challenge with several new technologies in VirtualLab Fusion.
